Belarus, UAE to mull investment projects in agribusiness, production sector

Andrei Savinykh, Head of the Information Office, Press Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, told BelTA, the Belarusian delegation included Deputy Chairwoman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Zhanna Birich, Director of the National Agency of Investment and Privatization Dmitry Klevzhits, Chairman of the Civil Engineering and Investment Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee Alexander Domenikan.

During the visit the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Abu Dhabi with assistance of the embassy in the UAE organized a presentation of investment opportunities of Belarus for representatives of business circles. A bilateral meeting of members of the Belarusian delegation with the First Deputy Director General of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Abu Dhabi took place.

The Belarusian delegation also held negotiations with top executives of the Abu Dhabi municipality, the investment company Al Masah Group, who showed interest in promoting cooperation with Belarus. Projects and possible avenues of investment cooperation were discussed at these meetings.

The Director of the National Agency of Investment and Privatization met with the Director of the Investment Department of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development. The sides reached an agreement to consider investment opportunities of cooperation in agribusiness, production sector and real estate.
